Higher Education Trainer
Kristen Nuesmeyer (She/Her) is the Director of Academic Standards at Utah Valley University where she focuses programing on strengths-based, holistic academic coaching for student support. She has spent the last 19 years working in higher education in various roles including admissions, retention, advising, and coaching.
Kristen started her coaching journey by being certified by Gallup as a CliftonStrengths coach and quickly expanded that training to include ADHD coaching from JST to support her students. She is currently certified as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and is working on her Professional Certified Coach (PCC). She has always found herself drawn to strengths-based support roles for students.
She holds a master’s degree in student development administration from Seattle University and has always loved working in education. She currently lives just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, and enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs.
