I have served on the Board of the Association of Coach Training Organizations (ACTO) for the past two years and I am pleased to be starting my term as President this June. During this period of time, I have been exploring all aspects of the organization while soaking in the wisdom and energy of coach educators from around the globe. The platform for this past year, led by our current president Halli MacNab, PCC, has been focused on diversity, culture, inclusion and belonging in coaching and coach training. Halli is a passionate advocate for human rights and social justice, peeling back the onion on the barriers that face many who want to be coached or become a coach. I am honored to be a part of this work and will carry it forward with hopes to expand our reach to all coach training organizations, both ACTO members, and non-members.
On June 12-14, 2019, I will be attending the ACTO Annual Conference in Victoria, British Columbia with coaches and coach educators from around the world. The theme of the conference is The Human Tapestry – Challenge, Illuminate, Celebrate. The Conference, in support of The ACTO Stand, will focus on Diversity, Culture, Inclusion and Belonging. The discussions and conversations will support members in looking at themselves, their training and their work with students and clients. This conference is open to anyone interested in taking a stand with us to promote positive change in coach education. Take a closer look at the amazing speakers we have joining us and please reach out to us with any questions.
