Director of Training/DEIB Coordinator/Higher Ed Trainer
Tiffany Halsell, PhD, PCC currently serves as Student Multicultural and Diversity Senior Officer at The Ohio State University. Passionate about helping students succeed in college, she provides holistic support for undergraduate and graduate students in the college with a focus on multicultural students, historically excluded students, students with disabilities. In 2019, she earned a certification in Coaching Teens & College Students with ADHD from JST Coaching and Training, which has been instrumental in coaching neurodiverse students towards reaching their goals. In addition to her coach training with JST, Tiffany has received training through the Institute for Life Coach Training, earning her PCC credential in 2024.
The heart of her work is bringing diversity, equity, and inclusion to the forefront of conversations, training and coaching to create a lasting impact on current and future generations. She continually challenges her colleagues and students to question how DEI is being defined, discussed, and enacted. Tiffany works to create inclusive spaces, by normalizing conversations about race, gender, ethnicity, social justice, sexism, etc. to minimize the stigma surrounding these topics and provide a space where respectful conversations can be held, and learning can happen.
She earned her Ph.D. (2017) in Educational Policy and Leadership from Ohio State where her research focused on exploring the impact of campus culture and campus climate on Black undergraduate women. She has a Master of Education degree in Executive Human Resource Development and Bachelor of Liberal Arts, both from Xavier University, Cincinnati. A lifelong Ohio resident, she enjoys nurturing her plant collection and spending time with her family and friends.
